The Mobile Food Vendors Association has a new Facebook page.

Andrew Zimmern, host of the Food Network's "Bizarre Foods", says mobile food is not just a trend. Due to a downturned economy, entrepreneurs are taking to the streets to peddle what can only be described as delicious food on the go. Given the popularity of this trend, mobile food isn't likely to lessen.

  Early Monday evening, just outside Union Square, police officers approached and issued $60 summonses to mobile food vendors Phil's Steaks and Seoul Food NYC because they were parked at metered spots, but instead of asking them to move, representatives from the trucks say their trucks were summarily towed.
